Photographer portrait
Stopping the flow of time, capturing unrepeatable and unique moments:
this is why I’m so attracted by photography. I’m 27 years old, and I’ve
been practicing free-climbing for many years. I’ve been taking pictures
for a few years, although I’ve always been attracted by photography.
Mountains probably were the reason that made me take up with the camera.
I’ve always felt something magical about photography: the possibility to
preserve for years, even for centuries, the emotions, fleeting and impalpable
as they are. I just can’t accept that certain moments and special scenes pass
by and disappear forever, and that’s exactly why I started taking pictures.
At the beginning it was just a way to catch memories and carry them with me , then,
the passion increasing, I became so critical towards my own pictures that now, regularly,
I throw away all those that do not show the reality exactly as I saw it . The region I live
and was born in, Tuscany, with its unique landscapes, was the perfect source of inspiration,
after the mountains. Then, I discovered people. People: the most beautiful and at the same time,
the hardest subject to take a picture of. And that’s how I started taking wedding pictures.
I live in Siena, but my real passion is travelling. Travelling just around this fantastic peninsula,
or my beloved mountains , or all over the world. I strongly believe that the only way to always improve
and take better pictures is to deepen the knowledge of ourselves, and the world around us, on a daily basis.
Being a photographer is first of all being a profound observer of the smallest details.
